Swami’s shower of grace

The old woman hailed from the town of Ooty, located in the sylvan Nilgiri range of the Western Ghats in India. She was an indigenous belonging to the Badaga community. It is believed that this tribe has inhabited the hills from 8000 BC! It is no wonder that the Badagu language has no script. Though simple in their living and unsophisticated in life, these people had communicated more than fluently with Swami through their hearts. Every time they came to Prasanthi Nilayam, Swami seemed to receive them with special love and concern.

Chronicles of Heaven on Earth

>>> February 26, 2008

There was a small sea of turbans in Sai Kulwant Hall as devotees from the Nilgiris and Ooty had been given permission by Swami to put up a programme on the evening of February 26. A huge backdrop with the Sai Mandir in Ooty painted on it had been raised. The participants of the programme were all members of the Badaga tribe living in the Nilgiris. When Swami came out for Darshan and went through the Kulwant Hall, His eyes seemed glued to the "visitors" from the Blue Mountains.
